This course has an optional hands-on lab.

into your practice and learn how to identify and
treat easy to moderate non-extraction cases.
• Reliant on technology (IOS required),
Progressive ortho simulation app, and proper
case selection to ensure success.
• Limited to specific “selective” case types, using
technology and a “coach” to ensure the case
types are detected properly.
• Know how to discuss ortho with your patients
and give the best advice.
• Treat the uncomplicated cases using aligners
and brackets, and know which cases to refer.
• Optional hands-on lab for those that want to
treat cases.

Seminar #1: Intro to Digital Orthodontics • Scan and create orthodontic simulations for every patient:

Quickly and easily diagnose and discuss orthodontic conditions
with your patients—incorporate ortho into the GP practice
• Present/discuss treatment options and alternatives
• Aligners vs. Brackets: Tools in your toolbox
• Basics of creating and analyzing ortho simulations
• Identifying uncomplicated cases: Which cases are appropriate
at my level of education
• Using your coach, consultant, and/or mentor for success

Seminar #2: Analyzing Simulations

Ordering the Appliance: Progressive Aligners vs.
Progressive SmileStream for bracket cases
• Evaluating a Progressive Aligner 3D setup and communicating
with aligner designer when needed
• Learn foundational orthodontic principles from case studies
• What makes one case easy and another case difficult?
• Understand the three planes of treatment: sagittal, vertical, and
transverse—Strategies to achieve a functional occlusion
and esthetic results analyzing the different simulation outputs
• Difference between Class 1, 2, and 3 occlusions
• Understand facial profile (concave, straight, convex) and
how to consider profile in treatment decision
• What is a good orthodontic finish?
• How to identify acceptable simulations to treat vs. cases
needing more education or referral to specialist
• Choosing the preferred tool: Aligners vs. Brackets
• Analyzing the different simulation outputs

Seminar #3: Treating Accepted Cases

• Treating your cases: What to do at each visit, aligner and bracket
protocols, IPR, and attachments
• Detecting treatment issues, revisions, refinements, best
practices, and how to get support when needed
• Finishing your cases, when am I done?
• Retention practices and protocols
• DentalMonitoring—Using AI to limit patient visits to the office,
improve efficiency, productivity, and patient compliance

Hands-On Lab: Experimental Learning

• How to bond and remove brackets
• Learn proper bracket positioning on each tooth
• Use ligature & elastomeric ties to attach brackets to arch wires
• Place open coils and chain to help align teeth
• Bond attachments and buttons for aligners
• Familiarize yourself with instruments used for braces,
aligners, IPR, and fabricating retainers in your office
